As Principal Consultant for the DACH Region, the successful candidate will have primary responsibility for the development of a consulting sub practice focused on delivery and execution of client programs in the German speaking market. A subject matter specialist in this area, expected to liaise directly with the specialist sales and account teams to support and shape go-to market consulting offerings, identify channels and frameworks that benefit the business and refine existing services to suit the market.
The Principal Consultant will have primary responsibility for the successful execution of consulting engagements. In addition, the Principal Consultant will have the skill and experience necessary to manage project activities with other Advisory Services employees across multiple geographies, including the planning and execution of project components in the absence of a program manager or director.
The Principal Consultant will also be instrumental in the creation of engagement deliverables such as benchmark assessments of client information governance programs and programs roadmap development and presentations, information governance strategies and policies, implementation and change management plans. At all times the principal consultant will be required to manage and maintainhigh-quality work product in accordance with methodologies and timelines across the delivery teams.
In addition, the Principal Consultant will assist with customer communication, milestone and timeline management, presentations, problem resolution, and monitoring overall client satisfaction.
The Principal Consultant provides vision, thought leadership and overarching guidance for enterprise IG projects with significant data strategy implications. Has a track record of successful results and background in leading large scale information management programmes in a commercial environment within Fortune 500 companies (or equivalent).
Develop a go-to market strategy for DACH region consulting engagement
Identify, qualify and develop opportunities within the region
Maintain relationships of relevance in the domain area that elevate the practice and company to support business development and lead generation
Lead consulting engagements, managing client expectations, and engagement staffing, issues and risks, contract change control, internal operational processes
Radiate within assigned client organizations to identify, quantify, and close additional business leveraging engagement successes, developing key relationships, and promoting Iron Mountain capabilities and offerings.
Evaluate and mentor assigned consultants in terms of business, technical and consulting skills and establish a growth plan for local delivery.
Build and maintain high performing, team-oriented, client-focused working environments
Contribute to knowledge management, solution development, and thought leadership by capturing and sharing Information Governance best practices, repeatable solutions/components, and go-to-market materialsSupport business development activities, providing responsible consulting delivery leadership in discovering and shaping opportunities, solution development, proposal generation, and deal closing stages
Work effectively with internal sales, operations and finance teams, and establish/maintain productive relationships with Iron Mountain partners
Able to build multi-year roadmaps across different functional areas aligned to a business capabilities, and the overall enterprise architecture
Able to drive data strategy through demand management, governance, design, and implementation, acting as advisor to client teams
Understands real-time analytics, complex event processing, data warehouses, business intelligence, etc.
Familiarity with eDiscovery processes and tools
Hands on skills with tools for remediating redundant, trivial and obsolete data and content in enterprise applications and repositories
Familiar with the interaction between data, middleware, as part of an automated content management/governance strategy
Significant demonstrable IG domain expertise within DACH region gained from either FinServ, Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical industries
Led consulting engagements, managing client expectations, and engagement staffing, issues and risks, contract change control, internal operational processes
Supported business development activities, providing responsible consulting delivery leadership in discovering and shaping opportunities, solution development, proposal generation, and deal closing stages
Information Governance or Records Management thought leadership demonstrated by event speaking, published work etc
Minimum 10 years information management industry consulting experience preferably within a central government environment
Relevant information management degree/post graduate qualification and/or equivalent experience, or professional industry certifications, such as Certified Records Manager (CRM) Information Governance Professional (IGP).
Demonstrable experience with data privacy regulation and/or industry certification (e.g. CIPP/E) preferred
Fluent German and English speaker
