As our EMEA Records Management (RM) and Data Management (DM) organisation continues to evolve, we have created a brand new opportunity for a Vice President of Operations to provide leadership, vision and direction across the region.

What you will do

As Vice President, Records Management (RM) & Data Management (DM) Operations EMEA you will influence the design of strategy for Records Management & Data Management in alignment with Enterprise Playbook.

Reporting directly to the SVP EMEA, you will lead cluster operations teams through dotted line reporting relationships. You will encourage collaboration throughout the clusters to execute and drive that strategy for revenue and EBITDA growth and improved margins through operational efficiencies.

The key responsibilities include:

Leadership

  • Lead in the areas of coaching and team development, having the operations leaders reporting to you through dotted lines.

  • Leverage management scorecards to support progress reviews, decisions and actions (data inputs: P&L, Revenue & EBITDA attainment, storage growth and customer retention).

  • Function effectively across 360 degrees (i.e., managing effectively upward, with peers and the operations team).

  • Provide inspirational leadership, winning appropriate mindshare, alignment and support towards delivering company vision and business opportunities. Remove obstacles to speed and agility, and maintain a streamlined organisation with high levels of accountability and empowerment.

Growth Agenda

  • Partner with Sales on critical business opportunities. Identify market trends and customer needs, and create plans to attain new business and retain existing business.

  • Foster close relationships with key accounts, and maintain a presence with customers across the EMEA region.

  • In addition to growing our RM and DM business lines, you will actively support growth in other business lines such as consumer storage, pallet storage, digital solutions, Insight, etc.

  • Build relationships with other leaders in our industry to find opportunities for acquisitions to grow our business.

  • Support a culture focused on the growth of our business where all employees are focused on the customer. Build capabilities by considering structures, goals and objectives and incentive compensation that ignites the competitive spirit and keen focus on customer satisfaction.

Marketplace Execution

  • Through the leadership of the cluster teams and analysis of various data points, collaborate with other senior leaders to understand market trends, customer perceptions and needs and translate these into operational requirements and business goals to deliver on the customer value proposition.

  • Provide thought leadership across peer group into mature market in order to drive practical market-based, client-centric operating plans using all commercial levers at disposal.

What you will bring

  • MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.

  • Experience in leading multinational logistics or manufacturing operations, transforming legacy businesses to drive bottom-line impact within a corporate environment.

  • Experience in full P&L management at a significant scale.

  • Operations leadership experience and an expert at process optimisation.

  • Effective customer and external facing interaction skills and experience.

  • Strong executive facilitation skills and experience related to strategy development and problem solving.

  • Solid strategic analytical skills (i.e. market and competitive dynamics, business performance).

  • Comfortable in rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities.

  • Good project management skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skills.

  • Ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Experience in optimising service delivery, tight labour management and driving to optimal service, gross profit and EBITDA margins.
