Primary purpose of the Role
The EMEA Social Media Manager helps grow Iron Mountain’s footprint as it pertains to brand awareness, equity and preference. The role will work closely with platforms, agencies and stakeholders to successfully leverage social media to create brand awareness, enhance campaigns and drive marketing results.
Develops and implements Iron Mountain’s integrated Organic social media approach for EMEA
Works closely with fellow team members of the Global Communications team based in Boston and European colleagues to leverage PR activities across social media.
Communicates and drives/expands awareness of the Iron Mountain brand in EMEA – its products and services, leaders, thought leadership corporate responsibility, and culture – across social media.
Works with the regional marketing team to ensure that Iron Mountain is leveraging social media channels to improve the reach and effectiveness of their programs/activities in EMEA.
Works closely with the Social media team based in Boston and regional peers to share best practice and implement global social campaigns.
Responsible for managing the paid social media budget to boost posts, increasing reach and engagement.
Works closely with the Web and Search team to ensure SEO is incorporated into the overall EMEA social media strategy.
Writes, edits, and manages the editorial calendar for all types of content across social media platforms. Tracks and reports on social media trends in EMEA to uncover opportunities and ensure that tactical use is optimised for each market. Monitors competitive activities in social media.
Make sure the editorial calendar, including content leveraged, remains relevant; creates and distributes timely measurement reports to benchmark company social media reach and influence.
Monitors company presence and mentions across social platforms.
In times of crisis management, must be able to monitor and assist key stakeholders with response and analysis as needed.
Track EMEA social media influencers and recognize any opportunities to engage, amplifying Iron Mountain’s social media presence via relationship building.
Evangelises and leads social media education initiatives for marketing and sales teams in Europe including employee advocacy programme, and continuous social media best practice education for sales and marketing teams
Works closely with the European Search Specialist to maximize opportunities both paid and earned on social platforms.
Work with other regional marketing teams to share best practice and potential to co-oridnate activities etc.
Minimum 3-5 years of EMEA social media and marketing communications experience
Experienced in B2B social media
Experience collaborating with agencies essential
Experience working and collaborating within a global enterprise is preferred
Knowledge of marketing and communication principals, practices, and techniques
Very strong writer and editor
Must possess exceptional organization skills
Be able to operate under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong collaboration and project management skills – and ability to work effectively with different people within an organization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional interpersonal skills
Must be comfortable being a self-starter, working independently, and creating concrete plans with input from a variety of sources
A working proficiency in image and video editing skills essential
English Language Fluency at native or near-native proficiency
Proficiency in French, German or Dutch beneficial
